Liszt wrote multiple cadenzas to be played after the ascending scale that ends bar 52: one for Henrik Gobbi (listed with S. 144), one each for Auguste Rennebaum and Lina Schmalhausen (both S. 144/3bis), and one each for Luisa Cognetti and Eduard Dannreuther (both S. 144/3ter). Liszt also wrote a slight variant of the closing bars for Lina Schmalhausen (listed with S. 144).
